Who is responsible
Sunshine Natural Health Pty Ltd (ABN 81 147 883 903) is an Australian company operating on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Sunshine Life Skills services are provided by Sunshine Natural Health Pty Ltd.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we may collect: your name, phone number and email address; your suburb; whether you are the participant, a family member or supporter, or a support coordinator; the participant's first name; how the participant's NDIS funding is managed and which kinds of support are funded; the name and contact details of a support coordinator or plan manager, if you give them; what you or the participant would like help with, in your own words; whether you are interested in a stay at Sundeck Gardens; how and when you would like us to contact you; and how you heard about us.
When you use our feedback and complaints form, we may collect: what you want to tell us, including compliments, ideas, complaints and concerns; whether you have a concern about someone's safety, or about abuse, neglect, exploitation or violence; whether you want a reply and how; your contact details, if you choose to give them; and the contact details of a supporter or advocate, if you ask us to reply through them. You can send feedback without telling us who you are.
Some of this is sensitive information — for example, information about a person's disability, their support needs, or a safety concern. We only collect it because it is needed to respond to you properly, and we treat it with extra care.
If you contact us by phone, text or email instead of the website, we collect whatever you choose to tell us.
How we collect it
Through the two forms on this website, and through direct contact with us. Both forms are protected against automated spam. We do not buy information about people, and we do not collect information about you from social media or other websites.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry or feedback; to understand whether Sunshine Life Skills is a good fit for the participant; to plan and provide support once we are working together; to look into complaints and act on safety concerns; and to keep the records we are required to keep.
We do not use your information for marketing. We do not sell it or share it for anyone else's advertising.
How it is held
Form submissions are not stored on this website. Each one is sent as an email to our business email account, which is provided by Google. That means your information may be stored on servers outside Australia. Our website is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes each submission briefly in order to send it and to block spam, and keeps a short-lived anonymised record for spam prevention only.
Once received, your information is held in our email and business records, which are protected by passwords and available only to Deb Pepperdine and Ian Trew.
Who we share it with
Your information stays private. We only share it with your agreement, when the law requires or permits it, or when it's reasonably necessary to respond to a serious safety concern.
We do not share your information with anyone except: the participant's support coordinator or plan manager, where that is needed to arrange or invoice support and the participant agrees; emergency services, if we believe someone is in immediate danger; the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission or another authority, where the law requires it or a safety concern needs to be reported; and the service providers named above, who handle it only as part of delivering our email and website.
If you tell us about a safety concern and ask to stay anonymous, we will respect that as far as the law allows. If you use the feedback form to raise something that is not about us, we will tell you who can help.
How long we keep it
We keep NDIS support and claim records for the periods required by law. Other personal information — including enquiries that do not lead to support, and feedback — is kept only as long as it is needed for the purpose we collected it, or as otherwise required by law, and is then deleted.
How this website is measured
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the website. It may collect information such as session activity, approximate location, browser and device information, and a pseudonymous browser identifier stored in a cookie. We do not use Analytics to identify participants personally. Google's own privacy policy applies to that data.
You can block analytics cookies in your browser without affecting the rest of this website.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 14 days.
